LORD BYNG RNO
VANCOUVER 5,800 SF
LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR
This landscape renovation reimagines a 5,800 sf lot in Vancouver’s prestigious West Side, within the Lord Byng catchment. Designed with respect for the home’s architectural character, the project preserves the existing hardscape—pathways and retaining walls—while layering in new garden features that bring beauty, structure, and year-round interest.
The arrival sequence is marked by elegant stone plinths, each crowned with a seasonal flower pot. These frame the entrance and provide a sense of welcome while maintaining the original “open entrance” feel.
Moving into the garden, meandering pathways are softened by ornamental grasses, colorful seasonal flowers, and fragrant plantings that enrich the sensory experience in every season.
The backyard transforms from a simple lawn into a series of garden rooms. A rose garden, a wisteria-covered trellis, and a hydrangea garden with a striking blue flower pot focal point create variety and rhythm. Subtle changes in topography guide visitors through these spaces, offering different moods and perspectives.
The result is a timeless, elegant garden that the owners enjoy throughout the year, with ever-changing views and moments of delight.
